What's it all about?

The Gloucester Project is a not-for-profit community organisation based in Gloucester in the upper Hunter Valley of NSW. It
- initiates demonstration capability
- supports the establishment, education and sustenance of Growers and
- coordinates the interaction between Growers, Processors and Distributors
Its primary motive is the welfare and the economic development of the region.
The Tucker Patch is its demonstration and education market garden which provides examples of small scale (backyard) and small commercial (up to 100 beds) scales of chemical-free vegetable, fruit and herb growing. It also raises seedlings and produces its own compost and mulch using Gloucester Council's green waste. The Tucker Patch sells these at its FarmGate on Fridays from 10:00 until 12:30. The Gloucester Project encourages local growers and food processors, provides distribution options and holds regular workshops on all aspects of growing and processing, many at the Tucker Patch.
